Cinematic Wedding Film Bath - Harry + Harriet's Wedding Video At Church Of St John The Baptist, Batheaston

Why do you want a Cinematic Wedding Videographer?

We want to capture moments that we wouldn't necessarily see ourselves. The focus should be on our lively group of friends and family having fun (hopefully!). We are not sentimental or 'mushy' people, and so don't want loads of drawn out clips of us gazing into each other's eyes, but a few 'together' moments would be nice. We like the style of Nick and Jo Ainscough's video in this regard. We definitely want a focus on the speeches too! We loved Harry's Best Man Speech backdrop to Nick and Jo's video for example, and not just because Harry loves the sound of his own voice!

Harriet would like some shots of her and her Dad when she comes into the church and her in her dress. Also would love shots of mothers of the bride and groom (VIPs), and bridesmaids/flower girls looking beautiful!

Why we booked you for our Cinematic Wedding Film in Bath…

Why did you pick us to have Wedding Cinematography? We loved Nick and Jo's wedding video, and Tom Magnus (whose film-making eye we trust) recommended you.

You guys? ...What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What's important in life? etc etc Friends and and family are so important to us. We like nothing more than to be laughing long and loud with them.

We work hard (Harry has his own business and Harriet is a lawyer) so we love a good party when opportunity arises - love dancing and music.

We spend most weekends outside of London in Bath, Suffolk with family or elsewhere with friends. We like to think we are good fun, smart, witty and good company.

The proposal? ...Tell us everything (all the gushy details) We were in Bath, where Harriet's parents live. Harry had had a ridiculously stressful, touch and go week at work, and so the proposal on the Saturday morning following this was a huge surprise.

We decided over breakfast to go for a walk up the big hill behind Harriet's parents house with their cocker spaniel, Cleo, as we always do. Harriet then proceeded to ask her sister and her Dad if they wanted to come too. Harriet's sister (who knew nothing about the impending proposal) said she would come along, and Harriet's Dad (who had had prior warning from Harry) looked a bit sheepish and then said he would also come along (obviously hatching a plan to somehow save the proposal from being crashed by various family members). We set off on the walk and Harriet's Dad engineered it so that he and Harriet's sister suddenly turned for home halfway through the walk. Harriet thought this was weird but thought her Dad just wanted to go and play golf and felt a bit guilty about it. She still didn't suspect anything and was so oblivious that she spoke about her dog's digestive movements all the way up the hill. At the top of the hill Harry suggested that w e sit down and look at the view, and he then proposed, first checking that Harriet wasn't going to get bored of him, which she confirmed!

The Venue/s? ... Why this place above anywhere else? Harriet's home - with a beautiful garden which is her Mum and Dad's pride and joy. Harriet's parents' house and garden where the reception will be is less than 100m from the church where we are getting married, so Harriet can walk up there with her Dad to get married and everyone can walk down the hill together to the reception after the ceremony at Church of St John The Baptist, Batheaston

What experience do you want to give to your guests? Above all we want the day to be relaxed and fun. We hope to give our guests good company (we think our respective friends will get on very well), yummy food, and a good dance! The DJ, music and lighting should be quite special - so we hope to have people going for it on the dance floor!

Harriet's parents garden isn't massive or grand - but is very pretty and should be an elegant, personal and quite intimate setting. They are putting a lot of effort into making the wedding look beautiful, but are doing lots of it themselves so it won't be anything too 'done'.

Harriet is also quite pleased with the order of service - with some lovely music and a friend of her brother's singing.
